Levantine Heritage is an informal, non-political research group and discussion forum for people interested in the heritage of the communities of the former Ottoman Empire. It comprises both academic researchers and descendants of those communities.

ISLAMiCommentary

The Duke Islamic Studies Center (Duke University), in partnership with the Carolina Center for the Study of the Middle East and Muslim Civilizations (UNC-Chapel Hill) and the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (a Recognized Independent Centre of at University of Oxford),  launched a Transcultural Islam Project – ISLAMiCommentary- a public scholarship forum, managed out of the The Duke Islamic Studies Center that aims to inform public discourse and policy on Islam and Muslim communities from a variety of perspectives.

Association for the Study of Religion, Economics, and Culture

The Association for the Study of Religion, Economics, and Culture exists to promote interdisciplinary scholarship on religion through conferences, workshops, newsletters, websites, working papers, teaching, and research. ASREC supports all manner of social-scientific methods, but seeks especially to stimulate work based on economic perspectives and the rational choice paradigm.
